Urging the U.S. Government to remove travel restrictions of people with HIV/AIDS. (1990)

Supporting the creation and funding of the federal Ryan White Care Act. (1990)

Supporting State legislation calling for LGBT sensitivity training for Police officers. (1991)

Urging the U.S. Government to remove HIV from INS exclusion for travel and immigration to the U.S. (1991)

Creating the SF Needle Exchange Program. The first needle exchange program in the U.S. (1992)

Urging the California State Legislature to increase the number of HIV-related drugs made available through the AIDS Drug Assistance Program. Angela also attended hearings in Sacramento and lobbied for the increase in available drugs. (1992)

Condemning Governor Pete Wilsonís veto of state legislation supporting and allowing needle exchange programs. (1992)

Supporting the 1993 March on Washington for LGBT rights. Angela also marched with a group of HIV-positive young people. (1993)

Urging Federal government to end its military policy of discrimination based on sexual orientation. Angela attended and spoke at demonstrations against ìDonít Ask, Donít Tell. (1993)

Opposing federal legislation reversing recent regulations lifting travel restrictions barring people with HIV/AIDS from entering the U.S. (1993)

Urging the California Legislature to allow the medical use of marijuana. Angela was one of the first to call for the legalization of marijuana for medicinal purposes. (1993)

Urging the U.S. Congress to reclassify marijuana from a Schedule 1 drug and allow physicians to prescribe medical marijuana. (1993)

Urging the San Francisco Health Department to add medical marijuana into its master plan for substance abuse and HIV-treatment. (1993)

Creating the San Francisco HIV Youth Advisor Task Force to provide policy and program recommendations to the Board of Supervisors and Mayor. (1994)

Urging SF Civil Service Commission to adopt rules providing family leave and medical benefits to domestic partners. After the passage of the federal ìFamily Leave Act,î the City had not added family medial leave as part of the benefits to City workers with domestic partners until Angela introduced legislation. Supporting the Stonewall 25th International March for Lesbian/Gay Rights. (1994)

Supporting Assembly Bill 2810 that would establish state recognition of domestic partners. (1994)

Condemning Reverend Fred Phelps for his vicious attacks on LGBT Community and people with HIV/AIDS. (1994)

Opposing state legislation calling for mandatory names reporting of people with HIV/AIDS. (1995)

Opposing Assembly Bills 1982 and 3227 that would prohibit recognition of same-sex marriages by the State of California. (1996)

Supporting federal legislation reauthorizing the Hate Crime Statistics Act (Senate Bill 1624). (1996)

Urging the governor and state legislature to increase funding for the state AIDS Drug Assistance Program and to re-approve the addition of newly approved drugs to the ADAP medication list. (1996)

Opposing the ìDefense of Marriage Actî (House Bill 3396) that allows the federal government and state governments the option of not recognizing legal same-sex marriages. (1996)
